BTA was founded in August 2012 by Kim English and Colin Hastings, both trained by Toyota and highly experienced in the application of TPS, who wanted to create a Lean consulting and training company that was different. The aim was to 'educate' rather than 'qualify' individuals, so unlike traditional training organisations BTA don't follow a given qualification framework, we take a situational approach, addressing current 'live' business issues with the appropriate lean strategy and methodologies, thereby providing the host organisation with instant payback on the investment made in the development of their workforce.

BTA engage the clients workforce through a 'Sensei' style approach as used in Japan, a country which has built its economic power through manufacturing over the past several decades. Our Directors and associates are all past business executives with 'hands-on' experience of delivering change programmes that deliver sustainable results.
Over the years we have partnered and supported many clients, from international 'Blue Chip' organisations to SME's spanning a number of different industries.

Combining strategic thinking with hands-on practicality, our consultants and experts work to develop and implement operational strategies that solve our clients most critical problems.
